We had just begun the development of our Company Heath and Safety Program, about 10 months ago. When we were ready to have our first external COR audit I interviewed 3 potential auditors. Lori caught my interest immediately, her energy, enthusiasm and her focus on helping us identify deficiencies and improve made her an easy choice. Lori Brookhouse assisted our company in our COR audit. This was our companies first safety audit so we were all a little nervous. When Lori came in we were pleasantly surprised by her positive and happy manner. Lori not only made us feel comfortable with the audit process but also made numerous suggestions on how we could improve our program. With Lori we felt that she was trying to help us improve our program instead of pointing out areas we were missing, with this approach we all felt very comfortable with the audit. Safety these days can be a very intimidating process but with Vital Insight the process became less intimidating and believe it our not, even enjoyable. When Lori began with ULS we had the basic foundation of a Health & Safety program in place, but due to the rapid growth of our company that foundation was showing signs of failure. Lori's energy and dedication to detail has lead us to not only rebuild that foundation, but elevate our Health & Safety program to a new level of effectiveness. One measure of Lori's success in driving this improvement was achieving a 95% score on our external audit in the late summer of 2007.

Claims management with Alberta WCB can be a confusing and frustrating process at times. With limited background in WCB claims management, Lori reviewed this process in our company and implemented programs and procedures that have dramatically improved our claims management practices. She has also successfully appealed recent claims that were proven to be fraudulent, resulting in significant cost savings for ULS.
